William Boyce has been active in the angling, conservation, and journalistic aspect of sport fishing his entire life. Born and raised in a boating / fishing family in Southern California, by the age of 14, he had traveled and fished across the entire U.S. four times. These adventures provided the spark for him to pursue a career in fisheries biology. Earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries from Humboldt State University, in the coastal redwood empire of Northern California, his career as a fisheries biologist began with the U.S. Forest Service in Tahoe Natl. Forest. For the next four years, he would perform stream habitat analysis and fish population work in Colorado, Alaska, and Oregon.
Yearning to expand his experience to an offshore environment, William was hired by the Inter American Tropical Tuna Commission (IATTC), at Scripps Institute of Oceanography in La Jolla, California. Spending the next 12 years working with tunas, dolphins, sharks, and other pelagic species, by managing their harvest by the Eastern Pacific tuna purse seine fleet.
After these 16 years, his career was altered by the interest and success his underwater photographs were receiving in shows, magazines, and art exhibits. He has presented slide shows to some of the most prestigious angling clubs in the U.S. as well as many international fishing tournament venues he has attended. The pinnacle of his career was presenting his tuna / dolphin slide show to the U.S. Congress, and then the U.S. Senate in April of 1997 in preparation for a final ratification of an international fisheries treaty. Information presented was instrumental in the Senate passage of that treaty 99-0 in his favor.

Now an internationally recognized photo/journalist, Bill's articles and images are seen monthly in publications such as Marlin magazine, Sport Fishing, Salt Water Sportsman, Big Game Journal, Pacific Coast Sportfishing, and Australia's Blue Water magazine.

Michael Fowlkes Productions hired Bill to shoot underwater video on the Inside Sportfishing T.V. production crew. Soon thereafter promoting him to Associate Producer of the award winning T.V. show. His additions helped earn the show two prestigious TELLY awards. Other filming and "on camera" credits include many expeditions to Africa, Australia, Azores, Bahamas, Belize, Canary Islands, Mexico, Midway Island, Panama, Puerto Rico, Spain, and Venezuela, with Guy Harvey Productions, and the B.B.C.

In January 2004, G-350 Productions hired Bill to Host their new offshore fishing show, World Class Sport Fishing, on the Outdoor Channel. The show, all shot on High Definition ( HD ) cameras, began airing in Jan. 2005. Enthusiasm for the show has prompted the network to re-sign Bill as Host for a second season which began showing in Jan. 2006.
